Most entrepreneurs who start businesses do it because of their ego. Yes, I get the “but I just want to help people”… but in reality, it’s the ego that gets us started.
- My Dream.
- My Expertise.
- My Way.
- My Money.
And there’s NOTHING bad about that! But hear me out… to REALLY grow, that ego needs to be put aside.
What does it mean?
Well, it means, for example: understanding that your business is not about you at all. Yes, you get to fulfill your dream (if you can make it work, if you don’t… you will meet your number one nightmare: the entrepreneurial failure)
But, your business is NOT about your dreams, your skills, or your way.
It’s about your clients’ dreams. It’s about your team members’ dreams. And expertise…
Sooner or later it’s not even about your expertise anymore, it’s about how well you can LEAD a team of people with expertise & skills much higher than yours.
